It's time to go to work in the ATL. 6-foot-5 small forward Elliott Meredith and 6-foot-2 point guard Tyrus Fleetwood sport their new Wooter Apparel customized uniforms the team will be wearing during their first season in the ABA.

Wooter Apparel can officially add another team to their list: the Atlanta Rappers of the American Basketball Association.

Shortly after the ABA introduced the Atlanta Rappers as one of their newest additions to its nationwide league eight months ago, the organization quickly turned to Wooter to design their basketball jerseys for their inaugural season, giving the ATL Rappers the pro look and feel they were shooting for. This marks the second ABA team Wooter has outfitted, as the sports tech brand also teamed-up and designed uniforms for the Carolina Cougars last season.

Owned by Kenneth "Kigity K" Kelly, an Atlanta-based rapper, producer, and entrepreneur with a passion for basketball and who has worked with the likes of #1 Billboard artist, Future and R&B singer, Musiq Soulchild, the Atlanta Rappers apparel line include both home and away basketball jersey sets in black, red, white and metallic grey, along with black sweatshirts and sweatpants with the ATL logo.

"It means a lot for me and the ATL Rappers to be able to team-up with a company like Wooter Apparel, particularly at an early stage as we are focused on growing. That's one thing that's important to us is that we stand out on and off of the floor. Working with Wooter on outfitting our team is just one way we plan on growing professionally," said Kenneth "Kigity K" Kelly, who played college basketball in Hawaii and also suits-up for the team.

"Our guys feel like true pros when they put on that jersey. When you look good, you play good...we get a lot of compliments, from both other teams and fans. There's no better feeling than people coming up before or after a game to want to grab a jersey."

The team proudly represented the ATL across their chest for the first time this past November and December and gave back in the process.

The Atlanta Rappers hosted a pro and celebrity charity event at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia to raise support for local charities in the Atlanta metro area with a canned food and toy drive over the holidays. It was headlined by former NBA guard, Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, included a Wooter jersey giveaway, and featured Streetz 94.5 FM's Mo Quick and performances by local hip-hop artists Lovely Mimi, Londynn B and London on Da Track.

In addition to their ABA game on January 13, the Atlanta Rappers will help host a two-day four game charity event on January 13 and 14 from 7pm-11pm at Clayton State University.

It’s all part of giving aspiring area rappers a chance to showcase their skills at halftime and players to use the opportunity to standout too. The roster includes 6-foot-5 small forward Elliott Meredith and 6-foot-2 point guard Tyrus Fleetwood, who were also college teammates at Washington Adventist University and now have the chance to slip on that ATL Rappers jersey this season.

"Our goal this year is to keep growing in how we provide a professional and community friendly experience," Kelly started.
